Our team members at Afghan Scholars Academy are motivated by a common goal of enabling Afghan students—particularly girls—to surmount obstacles in their education and pursue their dreams. Our team, which consists of experienced teachers, mentors, and volunteers from all backgrounds, contributes knowledge and enthusiasm to offer individualized assistance with scholarship applications, college admissions, language preparation, and so many other exciting learning programs.
We put out endless effort to ensure that education is available to those who need it most because we firmly believe in its transforming potential. In order to mentor students, create resources, and create connections to global opportunities, each team member is playing their own unique important role. By working together, we are aiming for a future in which all Afghan girls are free to follow their dreams.

Founder & President
Feda Mohammadi, the visionary founder of Afghan Scholars Academy, is a Computer Science and Economics student at Berea College in Kentucky, United States.

Executive Director
Samira Hamidi is a Health Science student at University of the People. Committed to supporting marginalized communities, she develops educational initiatives and helps guide ASA’s mission. Vice-president
Sami Mahmodi is a passionate Computer Science graduate from Aria University with expertise in Web Design, Development, and Digital Marketing. Currently, he contributes to the Afghan Network for Social Services (ANSS) and is a proud Salzburg Global Seminar fellow.
Jafar Fahimi
Web Developer
Jafar Fahimi is a Frontend Developer with expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Redux, and Next.js. He holds a Bachelore of CS from Kabul University and has gained valuable experience as a Technical Support Engineer and QA Tester. Jafar's accomplishments include securing 2nd place in the ICPC contest and earning multiple certifications in web development.
